ONE STROKE PAINTING
FOR BEGINNERS
ONE Stroke seems too good to be true! The beauty is that beginners can achieve wonderful results! Created by Donna Dewberry, ONE Stroke is now being offered at Salina Area Tech by Suzanne Penzenstadler, OSI (ONE Stroke Certified Instructor). You’ve seen Donna Dewberry on TV, on PBS and on QVC, the home shopping channel. Now, you can learn this exciting painting method in a few short weeks!.

With ONE Stroke, you learn to load your brush with 2 to 3 colors, so you can blend, shade, and highlight all in a single stroke, dramatically cutting down your painting time. ONE Stroke is an attractive, less structured style of decorative painting that anyone can learn. It appeals to beginner and experienced painters alike. It can be used on metal, plaster, glass, wood, fabric, ceramic surfaces, and even rocks! You will be excited too, when you find out for yourself how easy ONE Stroke is.

The instructor will teach you to freehand various strokes using the ONE Stroke brushes, paints and supplies designed by Donna Dewberry. Some strokes taught will include: wildflowers, roses, rosebuds, leaves, various flower petals, curlicues, a pansy, and a butterfly. Items will then be put together on a project piece. [Bldg. C - HORT]  [20 Hrs]

Day: Monday
Time:

FALL WORKSHOPS

PAINTING TECHNIQUES
for Beginning and Experienced Painters

Presented by:
Suzanne Penzenstadler

Salina Tech is pleased to offer a variety of painting workshops on various painting techniques. We know that summer-time is a busy time for most, so we have limited the number of sessions to 3 or 4 per workshop.

Some workshops will feature the Donna Dewberry One-StrokeTM  technique, some offer stroke classes, and some will offer a combination of the two. Some are projects, such as a birdbath, and a lazy-susan. Others allow you to create a design of your choice, on the surface of your choice. All classes are geared toward beginners, however, intermediate decorative painters will also enjoy these techniques.

Each workshop adapts very well to the current popular crafts of scrapbooking and card making so you can decorate your memory album pages and greeting cards with techniques learned here.

All elements will be demonstrated and taught by our One-Stroke certified instructor, Suzanne Penzenstadler.

Note: Due to the short schedules, all supply lists are available from Salina Area Tech School, and will be required at the first session.
