Working with Free Graphics & Fonts from the Internet

The class will show you how to locate free graphics, backgrounds, fonts, and pictures from the internet and adapt them to your scrapbooking, cardmaking, bookmarks, etc. You will learn to use simple software, Paint and Character Map, (already on your computer) to edit the pictures and fonts. This is not a class to learn scrapbooking, but to teach you how to find, edit and use what is freely available, and be able to print from your own color printer. Introduction to Photo Editing

If you have photos you would like to touch-up, correct, combine, edit, place on a webpage, in a scrapbook, or into a video, this course is for you. Participants will learn the basics of photo editing and and how to work with some of the most used and powerful graphics editing tools. Although this class is taught using the latest versions of Photoshop (CS2/3), owners of any version of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, or any other image editing program will learn techniques and theories that will apply. Free, fully functional trial versions of most programs are available online to work on at home if you have not yet purchased one. Intro to Computers & the Internet
Specialized for Beginners
This instructor led, hands-on course is designed for those who have had little or no computer experience.  Students will learn basic computer concepts beginning with, "What is a computer anyway?" Next, students will gain a general understanding of the Windows XP operating system and how to use it to locate, open, and operate, various programs on the computer such as: word processing, spreadsheets, and database. ( And don't worry if you don't know what all those things are! That is why you signed up for this class!) Accounting I

Accounting I has been carefully planned for students who have no prior knowledge of accounting. Participants will gain a basic understanding of Accounting principals and terminology and become familiar with many financial forms, records and statements used in business today. Topics of study include: analyzing business transactions, using T accounts, general journal and ledger entries, closing entries, and post closing trial balance.

Accounting II

Accounting II is a continuation of Accounting I and covers more in-depth concepts such as: accounts receivable and payable, cash receipts and banking procedures, payroll computations, records and payment, taxes, deposits and reports, accruals and deferrals. The course also includes Instruction and practice with financial statements and closing procedures.

Computerized Accounting - QuickBooks 7.0

Prerequisite: Accounting Fundamentals Class or prior knowledge of accounting basics.

Learn the basics of computerized accounting using the popular Quick Books Accounting Program. Quick Books allows you to set up your books in a way that is comfortable, familiar and understandable.
